Twenty-minute games that somehow take the whole evening. Short rules, quick rounds, and a table nobody wants to leave.

Lord Peasant

Everyone starts equal. Nobody stays that way. Lord Peasant is a climbing card game about clawing your way up the table and holding the seat once you get there.

Win a round and you sit at the top next time. Lose and you hand your best cards to the person above you. The rules take a minute to learn and the grudges last considerably longer.

How it plays

Learn it in a minute. Argue about it for an hour.

1

Pay your dues

Ranks carry over between rounds. Before anything is played, the bottom of the table hands its best cards upward.

2

Climb or pass

Beat the last play or step aside. Dumping your hand early is how you win, but passing at the right moment is how you survive.

3

Take the seat

First one out takes the top seat and the advantage that comes with it. Everyone else already wants a rematch.
